On April 15, 2023 Madison Shaque Sims, 17, and Samuel Brown, 18, died in a crash with a semi-truck in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Madison and Samuel were attending their high school prom together.
The incident occurred at 1:50 a.m. Madison and Samuel were just leaving the prom, The couple was driving a white Tesla vehicle. 2 other teenagers were in the car with Madison and Samuel.
The Tesla collided with an 18-wheeler truck at Skyland Boulevard East and Interstate 20/59. The Tesla was pinned underneath the truck’s trailer and the Tesla’s four occupants were trapped.Samuel and Madison were pronounced dead at the scene.An 18-year-old female was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. Also another 17-year-old was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. The incident remains under investigation.
Samuel was a senior in high school, where he played football and basketball.
