A homicide occurred on May 23, 2022 on Briarwood Drive Charlotte, NC. 3 people were shot.
The shooting unfolded at 1:30 a.m., officers and medics responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call. One male and one female were shot on Burkland Drive, they were taken to the hospital.
Once officers arrived on scene, they observed a vehicle fleeing the scene. Cops pursued the vehicle to Briarwood Drive. It was there that officers located a third victim who suffered from a gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased on scene.
After a foot pursuit and K-9 track, officers took the driver of the vehicle into custody. Specifics on the situation are still being sought.
