Daevion Crawford, 19, was arrested on New Year’s Eve 2023 December 31st after 5 people were shot at Romare Bearden Park during a New Years Eve celebration in uptown Charlotte, NC.
At 11:30 p.m. moments before the 2024 New Year, 5 people were shot at Romare Bearden Park. Thousands of people were gathered at the park to celebrate the New Year.
The suspect is accused of randomly shooting into the large crowds, 5 people were shot as the shots rang out. Herds of people were seen running for safety.
Daevion was identified as a suspect via video surveillance. Daevion was arrested on December 31st and charged with going armed to the terror of the people and 5 counts of assault with deadly weapon with intent to kill.
