Kaia Hodge and Jada Cousins died after being in a terrible car accident with an 18-wheeler truck on March 8, 2024 in Charlotte, NC. Both girls were seniors at South Meck High School. Charlotte Alerts is on Instagram now.

At 7 a.m. Jada and Kaia were in a vehicle when it collided with an 18-wheeler truck at an intersection on Tyvola Road. The girls were driving to school, as the crash was just 12 minutes away from South Meck High School.
The collision busted vehicle windows and spun the girl’s car around. Jada and Kaia were killed on scene. The truck driver was also injured and taken to the hospital. Kaia and Jada were both seniors at the school.
The girls also worked at Krispy Kreme doughnuts together. Kaia had just turned 18 with a celebrated birthday on February 13th.
Kaia was a South Meck student ambassador. Kaia even traveled to Italy for a high school trip. Kaia had also already been accepted into several universities.
Kaia’s dad is a sargeant at Greenhaven Correctional Facility, which is a maximum security prison in New York.
