5-year-old Amani Barringer was killed in a shooting on September 9, 2020 around 10 p.m. Amani’s 14-year-old big brother shot her with a loaded gun in a residence at Elgywood Lane Charlotte, NC.
Amani was shot by accident by her older brother. The 14-year-old suspect was still on scene after the shooting. He was taken by detectives and charged with involuntary manslaughter.
Additionally an adult who resides at the shooting location was charged with Failing to Secure a Firearm to Protect a Minor.
