Erick Holman, 37, was shot and killed during a homicide on August 2, 2026 at the intersection of E. 5th Street and N. McDowell Street Charlotte, NC. Rondreaus Cureton, 38, is charged with murdering Erick. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
Erick was a spoken word rapper in Charlotte and surrounding areas, he also did poetic rap. Erick was murdered in uptown Charlotte after a spoken word and poetic rap function. At 1 a.m., officers responded to a robbery call. Upon arrival, officers discovered a crash involving two vehicles.
Four victims were transported to local hospitals, one with life threatening injuries, three with non-life-threatening injuries. Erick had life threatening injuries sustained from an gunshot wound, Erick was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Rondreaus was arrested on August 2nd charged with murder.
