Cops were shot at several times near Independence Blvd
On August 28, 2025 an officer involved shooting transpired on Pineborough Road Charlotte, NC. At 2 a.m., officers responded to an assist medic call. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
Upon arrival, officers encountered a suspect acting erratically who then immediately fired a firearm toward the direction of the officers multiple times.
Officers perceived an imminent and deadly threat and returned fire striking the suspect several times.
An ambulance responded and transported the suspect to a hospital with life threatening injuries. Sadly no officers were struck with gunfire. However, three officers were transported as a precautionary measure.
A firearm was recovered on scene.
