Krystopher Martin, 21, is accused of shooting at a victim inside his AIRBNB rental home on Chicago Ave. Charlotte, NC. Krystopher was arrested on January 30, 2026. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
The shooting was on the 30th of January 2026. At 5 a.m. Krystopher was in an AIRBNB that he shared with his girlfriend and child.
Krystopher was told by his family that they heard noises from a bedroom closet. Krystopher tried entering the closet, but it was locked from the inside. Every time Krystopher tried to pick the lock, the person inside the closet would lock it from the inside.
Krystopher then shot a gun through the closet 9 times, hitting the person on the other side. The unknown person in the closet was shot multiple times. Krystopher called 911 to report the shooting.
The shot victim is in stable condition and was a male, he was shot in the abdomen, chest, and hand. Krystopher was arrested charged with attempted murder, assault deadly weapon, and discharge gun incite fear.
It is not known why the man in the closet was in the AIRBNB of Krystopher.
