Damien Mackins, 19, (Seen here) was shot dead in the woods early Friday morning.
The homicide occurred on Newell Baptist Church Road in Charlotte, NC. The call came in at 9:49 a.m. on Friday, February 02, 2018.
Officers responded to a check the welfare call where the caller had located a deceased male subject in a wooded area adjacent to a church.
Officers located the male victim, who had been shot to death.
