Lorna Roth, 82, was murdered in a house fire that was set on purpose by a suspect on Sharon Road West Charlotte, NC. Lorna died on August 06, 2024.
Lorna’s house was set on fire on June 21, 2024, at 6:30 p.m.
The Charlotte Fire Department and officers responded to the structure fire on Sharon Road West.
Firefighters went into the residence and located Lorna alive, but badly burned and in need of medical treatment.
Lorna was transported to Atrium Health Main Hospital for treatment.Upon further investigation, members of the Fire Investigation Task Force along with police arson detectives determined the fire was intentionally set by someone other than Lorna.
Sadly, on August 6, 2024 Lorna died from her injuries sustained in the fire. This case is classified as a homicide. No arrests have been made.
