Toddrick McFadden, 34, pled guilty on August 12, 2024 to shooting a cop at The Blind Pig restaurant bar on East 36th Street Charlotte, NC.

The shooting was on June 28, 2022, Toddrick was thrown out of The Blind Pig restaurant for failure to pay his tab.
As the officers walked behind the restaurant, Toddrick shot one of the officers in the leg and then fled the scene. Crime scene investigators collected discharged cartridge cases from outside the bar and near the railroad tracks across the street.

Surveillance video and the debit card the defendant used in the restaurant helped identify Toddrick as the suspect.
Detectives were able to find a potential residence for Toddrick. Cops went to that residence, where Toddrick surrendered after briefly barricading himself inside the home. He was then arrested.
At his 2024 trial Toddrick pled guilty to assault on a law enforcement officer with a firearm and discharging a weapon into occupied property. A judge sentenced the suspect to 51-74 months in prison.
