The Mr. Charles Chicken and Fish restaurant located at 8006 Cambridge Commons Dr. Charlotte, NC scored an 88.50 B on a food safety inspection. The inspection was on April 23, 2024. Instagram social media food connoisseur Mr. Chime Time had the audacity to tell people to eat at Mr. Charles. Mr. Chime Time is in Charlotte trying out restaurants, he said the chicken, fish and macaroni at Mr. Charles was nasty. The restaurant had to close due to the cold holding equipment not working.

The manager on duty did not have knowledge of food temperatures.
A Mr. Charles Chicken & Fish food employee pulled down someone else’s shirt and then continued preparing food without washing hands. There was no soap at the front and back hand washing sink.
Cooked meat was stored along with thawing raw salmon and a box of raw turkey near a sink. The inspector had to order the items be separated to avoid cross contamination.
Bins of chicken and fish were being cold held at unsafe temperatures above 41F.
Lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, mushrooms, BBQ pork, burgers, beef, and hotdogs were stored at unsafe temperatures above 41 degrees.
Several dead roaches were at the dry dish storage area. A bin of turkey wings were on the floor.
Tongs were stored on the hand washing sink barrier screen. The equipment housing food was not getting below 41F, the restaurant can not safely prepare food with the cold holding equipment not working.
The restaurant temporarily closed due to the equipment issues.
Walls and ceiling vents were dirty and in need of cleaning.
