A crazy mom murdered her own daughter during a brutal stabbing. Mina then tried murdering her son. Mom says god told her to kill kids to stop them from being zombies
36-year-old Mina Nazari was convicted of murdering her daughter Sana Akram, 4, in Modesto, California. The conviction was in 2026. Mina was also convicted of attempted murder after she tried killing her 10-year-old son, but he ran from her.
The murder was in 2023. Mina stabbed her daughter to death with a knife. Mina then called her husband who was also the father to the kids and told him that she had harmed Sana. The husband rushed home from his job.
Mina then tried to stab her 10-year-old son in his back while he was sleeping. The boy woke up at the touch of the knife and ran away. The husband then came home to find his son hiding and his loving little girl Sana dead in the house.
The husband called 911 and Mina was arrested on scene. Mina pled not guilty, but at trial in 2026 a jury convicted her of first degree murder and attempted murder.
Mina was found legally sane when she attacked her children. Mina had hallucinations and paranoid delusions. During trial Mina’s attorneys argued that Mina admitted that she heard the voice of god tell her to kill her kids in order to stop them from becoming zombies.
