Liliana Carrillo, 30, was charged with three counts of murder on April 19, 2021 after she murdered her 3 kids in Los Angeles. Liliana admitted to drowning her 3 kids in an effort to keeping the kids away from their father. Liliana was embroiled in a bitter custody battle with her kids’ father.
On April 10, 2021 Liliana killed her 3-year-old daughter Joanna, her 2-year-old son Terry, and 6-month-old daughter Sierra. To make matters even worse, Liliana used a knife on baby Sierra in addition to drowning her. The kids were found dead by their maternal grandmother in their apartment. Liliana struggled with post-partum depression following the birth of her middle child Terry.
Liliana fled the apartment after drowning her kids. She crashed a car near Bakersfield and then carjacked a truck from a civilian that had stopped to help her, Liliana then tried to steal another truck before she was arrested.
The case is being prosecuted by the Los Angeles Family Violence Division. Liliana says she has family in Mexico and even threatened to take her kids to the country.
