A homicide occurred on January 8, 2024 on North Tryon St. Charlotte, NC. A man was shot and killed. At 2:10 a.m., officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon with injury call. The male victim was located with apparent gunshot wounds.
Medics transported the victim to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased. This is the 2nd murder in a 24 hour period, 17-year-old Avyon Thomas was shot and killed at 5 a.m. on January 7, 2024.
