MAN MURDERED ON JUNETEENTH WEEKEND 2023 AT FUSHION HOOKAH LOUNGE

LaNard Gaddy, 33, was shot and killed on June 17, 2023 at Fushion Hookah Lounge on Independence Blvd. Charlotte, NC on Juneteenth weekend. Watch video of the shooting here, 4 people were shot total. the other victims were rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

Several people were at the Fushion Hookah Lounge. At 2 a.m. a fight broke out and several gunshots were fired. The result was a quadruple shooting as 4 people were shot at the lounge.

Lanard was among the 4 shot, he died on the scene.

Officers also located three other victims with gunshot wounds who were transported by medic to local hospitals, some of the victims had life threatening injuries.

Murders on Juneteenth weekend are becoming normal in Charlotte. 7 people were murdered on Juneteenth weekend 2020 in Charlotte.

Juneteenth is a federal holiday meant to celebrate blacks being freed from the terrorism of slavery in the USA. Slavery in the United States went on for 300 years, even after the Declaration of  Independence was declared, which established that all Americans are free.

Slavery ended in 1865, but it took around 3 years for all slaves to be freed due to the word spreading to vast territories in the south, and greedy slave owners that refused to free the black slaves.
