MAN KILLED AT BOJANGLES RESTAURANT DURING FIGHT, SUSPECT CONVICTED OF MURDER

In July 2025 Algia Clark, 27, was sentenced to life in prison after a jury found him guilty of fatally shooting 20-year-old A’mari McCaskill at a Bojangles restaurant on West Trade St Charlotte, NC.

Amari was murdered in August 2019 at the Bojangles. Amari was eating at the Bojangles with his friends. Someone saw the victim and then called Algia to notify him that Amari was in the restaurant.

The victim and suspect had a long brewing hatred for each other. Algia came to the Bojangles and words were exchanged between him and Amari.

Amari then followed Algia out of the Bojangles to the back parking lot. The two got into a fight and Algia shot Amari in the head.

Amari died from the shooting. Algia was arrested a few days later charged with murder.

At his July 2025 trial the jury found Algia guilty of first degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. A judge sentenced him to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
