MAN CHARGED WITH MURDERING LATINA WOMAN IN CHARLOTTE

Quanticus Rucker, 33, is charged with the homicide of Diana Perez-Barrera, 26. The suspect was extradited to Charlotte, NC and arrested on August 29, 2024.

Diana was shot and killed on January 19, 2024 at a residence on Turquoise Drive Charlotte, NC.

Quanticus is accused of entering Diana’s residence and shooting her dead. On January 20, 2024 Quanticus was arrested on unrelated charges. 

On August 22, 2024 detectives identified Quanticus as a suspect in the murder of Diana and obtained warrants for his arrest. 

The following week on August 29, 2024, Quanticus was transferred from the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction into the custody of the Mecklenburg County Jail and charged with murder, robbery, kidnapping, burglary, and firearm by felon.
