On January 22, 2025 Matthias Crockett, 15, was murdered during a shooting in the downtown area of Charlotte, NC. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
Matthias was shot on West 8th Street around 7 p.m. A dispute arose between the victim and a man in a red SUV.
The driver of the SUV then shot and killed the victim. Matthias died on scene. This is the 3rd murder in 24 hours.
