A young girl was murdered and sexually assaulted on the 4th of July, the suspect was arrested weeks later after ICE arrested him
29-year-old Raul Genesis Ortiz Moran was arrested on July 21, 2026 accused of murdering and sexually assaulting a girl on July 4, 2026 in Louisa County, VA.

Raul was in a dating relationship with the mother of the little girl, although Raul was not the father of the 2-year-old girl.
Raul is accused of sexually assaulting the 2-year-old girl and hitting her in the head and on her body.

On July 4th Raul and the child’s mom took the girl to the police department. Police rushed the little girl to the hospital where she died. Raul was arrested by ICE after police discovered that he was an illegal immigrant.
Weeks after his ICE arrest, Raul was arrested again by local police on July 21st charged with the murder and sexual assault of the 2-year-old girl. DNA and other evidence had to be gathered before Raul could be arrested on the murder and sexual assault charges.

Raul illegally entered the United States at an unknown date and location. But over the last few years he has been cited and convicted for driving without a license twice. He is from Mexico.
