Studio time led to a rape arrest
25-year-old Troy May is accused of raping a woman that he worked with and conversed with on Instagram in Charlotte, NC. Troy was arrested on October 23, 2025.

The victim Maiya says that in April 2025 Troy contacted her about hanging out with her at a studio. They went to the studio together and stayed there for a few hours.
They left and began tongue kissing in the car. Maiya then sat in the passenger’s seat with Troy and they kissed some more. Troy is accused of making sexual advancements and got on top of her.
Maiya says she told Troy no. Troy is accused of forcefully having sex with the victim. The woman was crying and trying to push him off allegedly.
The victim stated Troy kept calling her after the encounter and she allegedly recorded him admitting to the rape.
The victim called police. Troy was arrested charged with rape.
