Harris Teeter employee arrested on theft charges “Momma need a house, baby need some shoes, guess what he gonna do?”
Adrain Hart, 35, works at the Harris Teeter on Carmel Rd. Charlotte, NC he was arrested on April 20, 2025 accused of stealing items in self checkout at Harris Teeter. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.

Adrian is accused of stealing food and other items from the grocery store at the end of his shifts, by not checking out all of his items at the self checkout line.

Cameras allegedly showed Adrian leaving the store to take the groceries home. A grand total of $741.75 worth of Harris Teeter items went without scanning.
Cops were called to the store by Harris Teeter management. Asset protection employees showed surveillance video to cops.

In the videos the suspect employee would allegedly scan groceries, but is able to be seen taking items from his cart and holding them near the scanner and quickly putting them in the grocery bag as if he had scanned the items.
Adrian was arrested charged with larceny by employee.
A written statement by the defendant allegedly says that he admits to stealing items from Harris Teeter. In the statement Adrian advises that the statement was written “at my freewill” and that no threats or promises were made to him.
Adrian was terminated by Harris Teeter, the behemoth grocery store intends on pressing charges.
