Chelsea does hair braiding for a living, she has many customers, but she was arrested on Juneteenth weekend accused of DWI

Chelsea Barksdale, 26, was arrested on June 20, 2026 on Bryton Ridge PKWY. Huntersville, NC accused of DWI. Chelsea runs a hair braiding business in Charlotte and surrounding areas. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.

Chelsea was pulled over on Juneteenth weekend. Police came to her vehicle and saw possible signs of impairment. Chelsea blew a 0.17 alcohol percentage during a breathalyzer test.

The owner of the Braid Barbie business was also arrested after a man died in a car crash.
