A grandfather was killed in a fire on March 12, 2024 on Lanterntree Lane Charlotte, NC at the Lamplighter East mobile home park.
The fire started around 6:40 a.m. inside the victim’s trailer park. The fire quickly spread throughout the residence.
911 was called and firefighters were able to save 4 dogs. But the man died in the fire via the hot flames and smoke, asphyxiation. Watch video of a United States Air Force soldier setting himself on fire in a suicide protest.
It took firefighters 50 minutes to extinguish the fire.
