Denzel was hit by the freight train on September 12th at 5:14 a.m., Denzel was walking across the railroad tracks while the well lit crossing arms were down, the train was active and Denzel was struck by a Norfolk Southern freight train.
The heavy fast moving train knocked Denzel several feet back and onto the ground, the train tore his body up. The train recognized a pedestrian strike and radioed in for help.
Via GPS navigation emergency crews responded to the scene and found Denzel dead laying on the railroad tracks.
Denzel was a father and leaves behind a young child.
