DRUNK DRIVER CRASHES INTO PLS CHECK CASHING STORE, WHILE EMPLOYEES INSIDE

Early in the morning on March 14, 2024 a drunk driver slammed into the PLS Check Cashing business at the intersection of South Tryon St. and West Blvd.  

At 2 a.m. a black Lexus vehicle was being driven by a drunk driver, there was also a passenger in the car. 

The vehicle sped into the PLS Check Cashing at the front entrance. Glass broke and there was a huge opening in the building. 

Employees were at the business, as it is a 24 hour location. The employees ran for cover and assumed they were being robbed. 

A male and a female occupant of the vehicle get out of the damaged car and walk around dazed and confused. Employees at the PLS Check Cashing called 911. 

Both occupants of the vehicle were taken to the hospital.

Arrests are expected after they are released. It is not clear if the male or female was driving the car.
