On March 18, 2023 Kendall Ross, 29, was killed in a head on collision on Central Ave. Charlotte, NC. Kendall was a popular chef in Charlotte. He even toured with bands and celebrities as a traveling chef.
At 7:06 p.m. Kendall was driving in a Hyundai with his wife Lillian Hennes, 29, on Central Ave. A Nissan driven by Alejandro Gomez, 23, then came speeding around the corner and ran into oncoming traffic, striking the Hyundai Kendall and his wife were in.
Kendall and his wife were forced to the side of the road in the vehicle and struck a power pole, the car was then wedged in an embankment between the pole.
The Nissan continued eastbound and struck a curb before spinning and coming to a final rest. Alejandro was screened for impairment and found to be impaired. Speed is also a factor for the suspect, cops say.
Lillian had to be cut out of the vehicle with the jaws of life hydraulic device. Lillian was transported with life threatening injuries to Atrium Main Hospital.
Kendall died at the scene. Alejandro had a passenger in his vehicle, they both were taken to the hospital with injuries.
When Alejandro is released from the hospital, he will be charged with DWI and felony death by motor vehicle.
