Todd Lee Moore, 23, was arrested on December 18, 2025 charged with killing Howard Pomnitz, 56, in Charlotte, NC on North Tryon Street during a hit and run crash.
Howard was killed on November 29, 2025 while walking on North Tryon Street around 7 p.m. Howard was hit by a car, the vehicle kept going and never stopped.
Both sides of North Tryon Street were shut down due to the collision. Howard died on scene. On Dec. 1st detectives received a Crime Stoppers tip in reference to this collision.
A Acura vehicle was found on Hunslet Circle with front end damage consistent with a pedestrian strike. During the investigation, the driver of the Acura was determined to be Todd. Warrants were then obtained for his arrest.
On Dec. 18th Todd was arrested and transferred to the custody of the Mecklenburg County Jail charged with involuntary manslaughter, felony hit and run causing death, and no operator’s license.
