An arrest has been made in the homicide of Britton Owens, 31. Jamal Dean, 24, is charged with murder. Britton was shot and killed on June 5, 2023 on Prestigious Lane Charlotte, NC. Britton leaves behind an 11-year-old daughter.
Britton was shot multiple times around 8 p.m. at apartments. Officers responded to a shots fired call and located a black male with gunshot wounds.Medics pronounced the victim deceased on the scene. Britton’s neck tattoos helped identify him. Jamal was arrested on June 7, 2023 and charged with Britton’s murder.
Jamal was also charged with possession of firearm by a convicted felon, robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.
