ANOTHER INMATE DIES IN THE MECKLENBURG COUNTY JAIL

Date:

Another inmate has died in the county jail under Garry Mcfadden’s failed racist leadership

An inmate in the Mecklenburg County Jail died from a incident that began in his cell. The dead inmate is identified as 41-year-old Juan Utuy Sarat. The jail inmate died on May 2, 2026 at the Mecklenburg County Jail in downtown Charlotte, NC.

Juan Utuy Sarat

Juan was arrested on April 21, 2026 accused of violating a domestic violence protection order. Juan got sick in his jail cell on April 25, 2026. As evident in the links within this article, Garry Mcfadden is racist and has very bad leadership skills. His own staff has even called him arrogant and narcissistic. Video shows Garry Mcfadden called his own employees nigger and cracker.

A jail guard saw Juan unconscious in the jail in the afternoon. Paramedics were called and resuscitated Juan, and then rushed him to the hospital for emergency care.

After spending days in the hospital, Juan died on May 2, 2026 at Atrium Hospital. Many inmates have died in the Mecklenburg County Jail, and Garry Mcfadden continues to make aimless excuses on why the jail deaths are not his fault.

An inmate died at the jail after jail staff gave him the wrong medication, the victim of the family can sue Sheriff Garry Mcfadden, Mecklenburg County Jail, and Mecklenburg County for millions of dollars for that.
