AMERICA’S BEST WINGS GETS 88.50 ON FOOD SAFETY INSPECTION

The America’s Best Wings located at 9630 University City Blvd. Charlotte, NC scored an 88.50 B during a food health inspection on February 4, 2021. The manager could not find the employee health policy, or discuss reportable symptoms and diagnosed illnesses, per the employee policy document.

An employee was observed cooking food without a hair restraint. Cups and plates were being used as scoops. The handle of a scoop was in contact with sugar, corn meal, and flour. The tomatoes, sautéed onions, boneless chicken, bone-in chicken, and burger pattys were all being held at unsafe temperatures above 41F.

Grease and oil residue were on the handles of the refrigeration units.

The inspector noted a black build up and heavy debris on the storage racks throughout the kitchen. Additionally, food debris were heavy on the containers holding flour, sugar, and rice. The gaskets for all the refrigeration holdings had heavy food debris.

The sauce bowls had grease residue and food debris on them. There weren’t any date marks on any of the items stored in the reach-in cooler unit and the walk-in cooler.

There were plastic tops stored in a soiled bin with black residue inside and standing water. A whisk and strainer hanging above a sink had leftover food debris on them. Raw chicken and fish was above partially cooked chicken in the walk in cooler.

The East Coast Wings & Grill located at 9711 Northlake Centre Pkwy Charlotte, NC scored a measly 88.50 B grade during a food safety inspection on August 4, 2020.

The Wild Wing Cafe located at 9539 Pinnacle Dr. Charlotte, NC performed horribly during a October 22, 2020 health and safety inspection.
