77-year-old Sandra Vandermeer was arrested on March 2, 2026 accused of DWI in Huntersville, NC.
Sandra was driving a Honda sedan, she drove around a patrol vehicle and tow truck into a crash scene. Sandra was so drunk that she didnt realize that it was a crash scene.
A officer walked over to Sandra and she had difficulty rolling her windows down. Officer Cadwallader smelled a heavy odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from Sandra.
Also Sandra’s speech was slurred, she advised she had a couple drinks. Sandra failed field sobriety tests and she had difficulty following directions.
Sandra also swayed while standing. A breath sample on the Intox machine showed Sandra had a .14 blood alcohol content.
