71-YEAR-OLD MAN MURDERED IN UPTOWN CHARLOTTE

Leon Mack, 71, was murdered during a shooting on February 17, 2023 in uptown Charlotte, NC on North Poplar Street. Terry Thompson, 51, is charged with Leon’s homicide. 

Leon was shot and killed around 10:30 a.m., he was shot in a truck during an alleged street robbery. Paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced Leon dead. 

Terry was arrested about an hour later and charged with murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon.
