WSSU is a historically black college, many students that attended the school have died over the years. Even Shanquella Robinson went there
Chaz Zoey Williams, Kharis McGee, 22, and Quentin Glass, 21, all died on Jul 25, 2025. They are all students of Winston Salem State University, a historically black college university, known as HBCU.
Quentin played football at Winston Salem State University and was also in the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. Chaz and Kharis were both senior biology majors, while Quentin was a senior information technology major.
Kharis was in the hospital from a sickness, she died at Atrium Health Hospital. Details surrounding the deaths of the students are being gathered. It is not known if foul play was involved or not. Several alumni students from Winston Salem State University have died over the years.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the heartbreaking loss of three cherished members of our WSSU family: Chaz Zoey Williams, Kharis McGee, and Quentin Glass. Each of these students brought light, promise and purpose to our campus. Their presence touched many lives, and their absence will be deeply felt by classmates, faculty, staff and the entire WSSU Ramily. As we mourn this unimaginable loss, we also honor their lives, legacies and the impact they made on our campus. Please join us in keeping their families, friends and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.
