2 TEENAGERS CHARGED WITH MURDERING FELLOW TEEN AFTER 4TH OF JULY

2 teenagers have now been charged with the Charlotte, NC homicide of 19-year-old Yimere Joyner. On July 28, 2022 Demetrius Mason, 19, was charged with the murder of Yimere. Nyquan Marriner, 18, was previously arrested in this case. 

Yimere was shot and killed on July 5, 2022 on Camp Greene Street Charlotte, NC.

The homicide was around 6 or 7 p.m. Yimere was shot multiple times in the stairwell of an apartment complex. Cops discovered the victim unresponsive and he was pronounced deceased on scene.

Demetrius was arrested in Greensboro, NC on July 28th and charged with murder, armed robbery with a dangerous weapon, and conspiracy to commit robbery.

On July 6th Nyquan was arrested and charged with Yimere’s murder facing the same charges as Demetrius.
