2 BROTHERS ACCUSED OF SHOOTING AT THEIR MOTHER’S BOYFRIEND ON CLAIMS HE SLAPPED THEIR MOMMY

Dontravius Bynum, 27, and Russell Bynum, 22, are brothers, they were both arrested in May 2024 accused of engaging in a shootout with the boyfriend of their mother near a gas station in Charlotte, NC.

On May 1, 2024 a shooting occurred at the intersection of Eastway Drive and Kilbourne Avenue around 9 a.m. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.

Dontravius and Russell are accused of shooting at the boyfriend of their mother in traffic at a red light. A rifle style firearm was shot at the mother’s boyfriend as he was driving a black sedan.  

During the shooting, someone in the victim vehicle shot back, and Dontravius was shot in the arm.

Both parties then sped off. Dontravius later arrived at Atrium Mercy Hospital with a gunshot wound accompanied by his mother who was not injured. 

Cops interrogated the mother. According to authorities, she said that her sons Dontravious and Russell shot at her boyfriend, after she and her boyfriend were involved in a physical altercation. The mother claims she was slapped and punched.

Dontravious was arrested while at the hospital and still in his medical gown. He was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, and discharging a firearm into occupied property. 

Russell was arrested days later charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and felony conspiracy.
