$1.3 MILLION IN COCAINE SEIZED AT UNITED STATES BORDER

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Roma Port of Entry in Roma, Texas seized more than $1.3 million in cocaine in a single enforcement action.

The seizure occurred on May 24, 2024 at the Roma International Bridge when a tractor trailer hauling a shipment of soft drinks approached a USA border entry. 

Officers conducted a secondary examination that included utilization of a non-intrusive inspection system and canines. 

Upon further physical examination, officers discovered 24 packages containing a total of 101.5 pounds of cocaine within the conveyance. 

The narcotics had a street value of $1,355,233. U.S. Customs and Border Protection seized the narcotics. The driver was arrested and a criminal investigation was initiated.
