The driver of a tow truck failed to stop for Department of Public Safety Troopers in La Salle County Texas during a vehicle pursuit in July 2023.
10 illegal immigrants were in the tow truck and ran toward the woods when the truck slowed down on the side of the road.
The tow truck then continued driving at a high rate of speed. Troopers deployed a tire deflation device and the driver lost control.
The driver was taken into jail custody and is charged with smuggling of persons and evading arrest.
The 10 undocumented immigrants that ran were not found.
