On February 7, 2025 Corey Wiley, 39, was arrested accused of having over a kilogram of marijuana in Charlotte, NC. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
At 5 p.m. on Grier Road officers observed a yellow Dodge Hornet with heavy window tint showing an expired registration status.
The Dodge was registered to Corey. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the defendant. Corey pulled over, but as officers stepped out of their patrol car Corey is accused of speeding away.
Corey lost control of the Dodge, struck a stop sign, and collided with a tree causing over $1000 of damage.
Corey spontaneously uttered that he just had marijuana in the car. Officers located and seized one kilogram of marijuana, additionally another half kilogram of marijuana was found in the vehicle.
Some of the marijuana was packaged in plastic bags for sale. $921 was found too. Corey was arrested charged with felony flee to elude and felony possession of marijuana.
