$430,000 IN DRUG BUNDLES FOUND BEING SMUGGLED INTO UNITED STATES

U.S. Border Patrol agents in Laredo, Texas prevented several bundles of marijuana from being smuggled into the United States.

In the early morning hours of February 29, 2020 agents responded to several individuals carrying bundles of marijuana crossing the Rio Grande River. The individuals turned back to Mexico before encountering agents, subsequently abandoning the marijuana bundles. 

Agents seized seven bundles of marijuana that weighed approximately 536.8 pounds with an estimated street value of over $429,440.
