3.8 bricks of purple marijuana, known as ‘Purp’ was seized in a drug raid, fentanyl and $200,000 cash were also taken
On February 5, 2026 Rodney Ephraim, 49, was arrested as part of an ongoing investigation into the sale of controlled substances in Durham, NC where kilograms of drugs were found along with $200,000 cash.

Investigators from the Sheriff’s Office Anti Crime and Narcotics Unit with assistance from the State Bureau of Investigation executed a search warrant at a home of a suspected drug dealer on Newland Place in Durham.
As a result of the search, law enforcement from both offices located several weapons, including an AR-15 and an AK-style assault rifle, a large sum of cash totaling $200,000 and narcotics. Drugs seized were: 4.6 kilos fentanyl, 3.8 kilos of marijuana, cocaine, heroin, and psychedelic mushrooms.
Rodney was the suspect in the case and he was arrested on site charged with multiple drug trafficking offenses.
