16-YEAR-OLD BOY KILLED ON LABOR DAY WEEKEND

It has not been a peaceful Labor Day weekend 2021 for Charlotte. There have been 3 triple shootings, and 2 homicides, all within 24 hours. On September 5, 2021 a 16-year-old male was shot and killed in a triple shooting on Trinity Road Charlotte, NC.

Around 7:00 p.m., 3 victims were shot on Trinity Road. Two people were transported by paramedics to the hospital with gunshot wounds. One victim was shot in the leg and the other victim was shot in the neck. 

The third victim was shot and pronounced deceased on the scene. It has been determined that the deceased victim is a 16-year-old male juvenile.

Detectives with the Homicide Unit and the Crime Scene Search team responded to the scene to conduct the investigation and collect physical evidence.

Operations Command, Victim Services and the Mecklenburg County District Attorney’s Homicide Prosecution Team also responded to assist.

LABOR DAY WEEKEND 2021 SHOOTINGS AND HOMICIDES

Jeffery Lineberger was shot and killed in a triple shooting on Springview Road. Jeffery was a father and husband. 

On September 5, 2021 three people were shot in a drive-by shooting inside a parking lot near Lituation Lounge on Independence Boulevard.
