Lamac Nelson, 32, was killed in a major motor vehicle collision on August 29, 2021 on Interstate 77 in Charlotte, NC.
The crash was on August 29, 2021, at approximately 2:15 a.m., a two-vehicle crash occured on I-77. A Dodge Charger was driven by Lamac. The Dodge Charger was traveling on I-77 allegedly at a high rate of speed when it struck a Chrysler 300 vehicle in the trunk/rear bumper area.
The Chrysler rotated counterclockwise 360 degrees and came to a final resting position in the center lane.
Upon impact, the Dodge Charger struck a concrete retaining barrier on the interstate overpass bridge. The Dodge Charger continued to travel along the barrier for approximately 800 feet.
Medic arrived on scene and pronounced Lamac deceased on scene. The occupants of the Chrysler 300 sustained minor injuries.
