Ethan Crumbley, 15, is accused of murdering 4 students at Oxford High School in Oakland County, Michigan on November 30, 2021. A total of 11 students and staff were shot during the shooting. Ethan was a sophomore student at Oxford High School and his bail has been denied.
Ethan is accused of going on a violent shooting rampage on the property of the high school around 1 p.m. eastern standard time. Investigators allege that Ethan began shooting with a 9 mm gun after he left a bathroom.
Students and teachers went running for cover at the sound of the gunshots.
Authorities say the suspect was shooting people at point blank range, aiming towards their head and chest. Some of the victims were shot in the head. Ethan allegedly walked up and down hallways firing shots and murdering students.
Ethan is accused of shooting through several locked classroom doors. Officials say Ethan even tried to open classrooms, thus breaching classrooms while students were hiding inside.
Of the students killed are: Justin Shilling, 17, Hana St. Juliana, 14, Madisyn Baldwin, 17, and Tate Myre, 16.
7 other students including a teacher were shot and taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald says that the murderous school shooting was planned:
“This was not just an impulsive act. There is a mountain of digital evidence, videotape, social media, all digital evidence possible — and it absolutely, we are confident that we can show it was premeditation.”
Over 100 911 calls were made, police responded to the school and were able to quickly arrest Ethan.
Ethan is now charged with four counts of first degree murder, one count of terrorism causing death, seven counts of assault with intent to murder and 12 counts of possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
