CRACKER BARREL MANAGER MURDERED DURING ROBBERY WHILE PROTECTING CO-WORKER

59-year-old Robin Baucom was shot and killed during a robbery at a Cracker Barrel restaurant on January 15, 2022 in Houston, Texas. Robin was a manager at Cracker Barrel and had worked there for 34 years.

At 6:15 a.m. on January 15th a Cracker Barrel worker was at the employee entrance being let in by the manager.

A suspect in a newer model Dodge Charger car pulled up and got out of the passenger side of the vehicle.

The male suspect asked the employee if the restaurant was open; he then tried to take the employee’s purse and force the door open. Robin pulled the employee inside the restaurant and then tried to close the door. A struggle ensued between Robin and the suspect, the culprit then shot Robin.

The suspect left the scene in the Dodge vehicle. Paramedics rushed Robin to the hospital in critical condition. Robin underwent surgery but didn’t survive, Robin died at the hospital.

Robin leaves behind a husband, three kids, and grandchildren.
