35-year-old Tonya White was shot and killed at an apartment complex in Clayton County, GA on September 22, 2022. Jornel Williams, 40, is charged with Tonya’s murder, he is her ex-boyfriend. Tonya was a young mother with 4 children.
Tonya is from Atlanta. Jornel is accused of shooting Tonya multiple times in the parking lot of an apartment complex at 11 a.m.
Tonya died on scene. The shots were heard and police responded. Cops say they found Jornel in a parked vehicle at the scene with Tonya’s dead body inside the vehicle.
Cops say Jornel had a gun and he initially refused to drop the weapon, but Jornel later complied and was taken into jail custody.
Jornel is now charged with malice murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime.
