New video released in January 2023 shows an Uber driver being robbed in Houston, Texas. The robbery was on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at 11:00 am.
The Uber driver received a request to pick up a male at a restaurant.
Upon arrival, 2 males entered the vehicle and changed the dropped off location to an apartment complex.
As they arrived at the apartment complex, one of males pulled out a handgun while demanding that the Uber driver get out of the vehicle. The other suspect was seen grabbing the driver.
One of the suspects exited the rear passenger door, opened the driver’s side door, and attempted to take the Uber driver’s cell phone. During the struggle, the suspect fell to the ground. As the suspect fell to the ground, the Uber driver accelerated his vehicle while the second suspect pointed the gun at his head and told him to stop the vehicle. The Uber driver refused to stop, so the suspect jumped out of the moving vehicle. The Uber driver then drove to a different location and called police.
The suspects still have not been caught.
