WOMAN KILLED AT SHELL GAS STATION DURING POLICE STANDOFF

Amanda Hopkins, 35, was killed on January 10, 2023 during an encounter with police on The Plaza Charlotte, NC.

Around 7 a.m. Amanda was at the Shell gas station on the The Plaza reportedly waving a knife and threatening people. By standers called 911. When police arrived, they approached Amanda.    

That is when Amanda began walking backwards into the street. A van then ran over Amanda. She died on the scene.
