The ABC Store on Albemarle Road Charlotte, NC was robbed on March 15, 2023, a cop was sent to the hospital after being severely injured. Jarkevion Turner, 22, is charged in the crime.
The encounter was around 4:30 p.m. inside the ABC store. A suspect grabbed bottles of Crown Royal Apple, Don Julio Tequila, Tito Vodka, and Maestro Dobel Tequila.
The suspect passed the point of sale and continued to exit the ABC store without purchasing merchandise.
When confronted by an on duty male police officer, the suspect resisted, made a verbal threat, and physically assaulted the cop with a blunt object to the face.
The cop sustained a serious injury that included severe lacerations to his face. Blood covered the parking lot from the officer’s blood soaked face. The suspect briefly got away. The cop was taken to the hospital.
Jarkevion was arrested on the same day and charged with assault with deadly weapon, assault on law enforcement officer, and robbery with dangerous weapon.
