On March 14, 2023 a human smuggler led ICE officers on a high speed vehicle pursuit on US-90 in Kinney County, Texas.
At the initial traffic stop, the driver allowed five illegal immigrants to bail out. The driver then sped off and continued to evade troopers.
The driver eventually ran into the brush before being apprehended. The driver is charged with evading arrest and smuggling of persons. The five illegal immigrants were referred to Border Patrol.
